BestX Player Windows 1.0.3 - FFmpeg runtime FFmpeg and ffprobe 9.0.2 are unmodified, separately executed Windows programs from the Gyan.dev essentials build. They are licensed under GNU GPL version 3. The GPL license and the upstream build configuration are included alongside the executables as COPYING.GPLv3 and UPSTREAM-README.txt. The application does not link to FFmpeg libraries. No per-user codec download is required. Upstream: https://ffmpeg.org/ Binary provider: https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/ Exact FFmpeg source revision: https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/tree/946fcce07b FFmpeg source archive: ffmpeg-core-source-946fcce07b.tar.gz The source archive is also offered with the Windows downloads under https://bestxplayer.com/windows/third-party/ See UPSTREAM-README.txt for enabled external libraries and build options. The FFmpeg core archive does not include external library sources. The packaged manifest pins the upstream archive and each runtime file by SHA-256. Native conversion is local to the customer's computer, using a short-lived media buffer. Stopping playback deletes that buffer.
